Simgears  has many gear structures which them have evolvent profiles like harmonic gears, selcuk gears, gerator gears. It is able to animate these gear mechanisms with given parameters. You may able to put a point on any gear or shaft and then draw path of that point  from relative to defined another target point.[ 2001]
